THE FOUNDATION CATAPULT INTENSIVE

ACTOR EXPERIENCES IN THE PROGRAM

An in-person intensive to get you out of your head, drop the mask, and sniff out any weak spots in your process.

WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION CATAPULT INTENSIVE? 

This intensive is designed specifically to load you with tools you can carry into the work and implement in all camera scenarios so you’re ready for anything. I’ll assign you a scene in advance and you’ll work on it throughout the intensive. Each week we’ll focus on a specific part of the process so that when you leave class, you feel dialed in from start to finish.

PROCESS

Week 1  LIVING CONNECTIONS 

Build specific relationships that bring nuance, depth and truth to your work.  Learn to create imagery that captivates.

Week 2  FIERY ACTIONING 

A good action sets you free, releases you and transmutes your nerves. It helps you listen and unleashes your spontaneity. And most importantly, it affects the other character and tells the story on the page. Even the most seasoned actors forget this vital, game-changing tool.

Week 3  RIGHT BEFORE YOU ROLL  

You’ve done the prep.  What you do with the moments before you begin a scene is vital and often the difference between pushed work and work that feels lived.

…when you’re stuck in your head and you just can’t quite get there.  Perhaps you’ve been at this a while but feel like you aren’t getting the results you want.  Or maybe you’re already a working actor looking to go deeper and take your work to the next level.  You know in your bones you want to do work that makes an impact.
 
Doing grounded, truthful work on camera, whether it’s at home in front of your self-tape setup or on the set of a network tv show, is tricky. It’s hard to drop the mask and surrender. Having technique you can rely on will help. Let’s sniff out any weak spots in your process and position you for big breakthroughs. I want to show you how the camera can actually become a collaborator vs something to tune out.
